1) Q: Is Drywalling fire retardant and safe for use in the home?
A: All Drywalling has to approved by the SABS and pass the strict levels of safety set down by them for all products used within the home, without this no products may be installed into any home and this will include tests for fire resistance as well. Should any products fail they are by law deemed harmful and removed from production.
2) Q: Can you employ a company that is not registered by the NHBRC to carryout renovations in your home?
A: This is not an Ideal thing to do and we would strongly advise against doing so as there will be no come backs legal or otherwise should your construction or renovation fail at any time, therefore we suggest you only use a registered Company for all your renovations or construction
3) Q: Can I have my roof changed from IBR to Harvey tiles?
A: Yes you can change your current roof from IBR to Harvey tiles as most of the time is can be the better and cheaper option available to you as you would then receive a new guarantee on the work carried out on the re-roofing.
4) Q: Are you allowed to change your Ceilings to more ornate ceilings without plans being drawn up.
A: Yes you can as long as they are installed by a competent and reliable ceiling Installation Company who are able to make sure that none of the electrical wires are damaged that could lead to a spark that could cause an electrical fire in your home.
